While we are taking precautionary action to flatten the curve on the spread of the Coronavirus, I wanted to make sure some critical information was sent out to everyone. |
Maryland Health Benefit Exchange Emergency EnrollmentNormally, open enrollment for the Health Benefits Exchange takes place in November. However, because of the Coronavirus outbreak, if anyone is in a situation without health insurance, they are able to enroll through Maryland Health Connection between March 16th and April 15th. Montgomery County Public Schools makes food available to anyone under the age of 18During the two week school closure, MCPS has set up 20 locations where children under the age of 18 can receive a nutritious meal, no questions asked. For more information CLICK THIS LINK. |

U.S. Census 2020Did you get a notice in the mail yesterday from the 2020 Census. Yep, the period for the Census to gather information has started and this is your first notice to complete the Census online. So, while you are socially distancing yourself, it’s a great time to complete the Census. Not only does the Census help to determined elective office redistricting for the next 10 years, but it also guarantees hundreds of millions of dollars in federal support to our State that is critical to our infrastructure and support programs. 2020 Primary Election on April 28thSpeaking of things to do while you are socially distancing, there is still a Primary Election coming up on April 28th, with Early Voting taking place from April 16th to April 23rd. If you aren’t registered to vote, you have until April 7th and you can do it online. Just CLICK HERE. If you aren’t able to register by April 7th, don’t worry, we have Election Day Voter Registration in Maryland, but you will have to show up at your polling location in person. To look up your polling location by address, CLICK HERE. If you would like to order an absentee ballot to vote by mail, you can order a ballot by CLICKING HERE. Remember, you have to be registered to vote in order to order and get an absentee ballot. |
